FULTON COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER ANNOUNCES 12TH ANNUAL SUMMER KICK OFF YOUR DRUG FREE SUMMER EVENT
… health fair geared toward kids.
McConnellsburg, June 4, 2025 - The Fulton County Medical Center is pleased to announce that the Summer Kick-Off Event for a drug-free summer will take place on their campus on Friday, June 13, 2025. The theme, “Fit or Not, Here We Come,” is a nostalgic nod to the games we used to play as kids. “We want to encourage kids to unplug and go outside and 'kick the can.' This marks the 12th year of hosting the event, and we couldn’t be happier to continue it. With nearly thirty vendors focused on kids’ health, it’s the only one of its kind in the area,” says FCMC Public/Community Relations Director Misty Hershey. Kids will receive a glow-in-the-dark frisbee compliments of the FCMC Auxiliary, while supplies last.
The Fulton County Food Basket will provide free snacks as well as free food sponsored by Dr. Orange. Attendees can also enjoy purchased food from two food trucks: The Lotus Bowls & Juicery and Antietam Dairy Ice Cream. Guests are welcome to dine under a complimentary tent sponsored by JLG Industries, Inc., while enjoying music from DJ Taters, sponsored by Gaudenzia Inc.
Vendors that will be setting up at this year's event include: ALSM, ASERT,Round Table BJJ, Keystone Health, Fulton County Library, Ameri Health Caritas of PA, MH/IDD/EI Franklin & Fulton County, Gaudenzia Inc, Center for Community Action, Franklin Fulton Drug & Alcohol, Mental Health Association, Peerstar, WIN Victim Services, TrueNorth Wellness Services, Fulton County Family Partnership, Capital Blue Cross, Pyramid Healthcare, Southern Fulton Pre-K Counts, Giant Food Store, FCMC Community Health & Wellness Center, FCMC Rehab, FCMC Trauma Services, FCMC Education/CPR, Fulton County Food Basket, and Fulton County Sheriff's Office.
FCMC also asks that you bring your unwanted medications for safe disposal by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department.
